The sixth biannual Beaver Challenge Trophy is being held on Saturday 12th December 2009, from 11am to 4pm, at Wodson Park Sport & Recreation Centre. As well as a good day of football, the Beaver Challenge Trophy is being held again to raise money for local causes.

Six teams will compete for the coveted Beaver Challenge Trophy, currently held by last tournament’s winners - Marooned 5.

At this years event, competitors can be entered into the tournament as individuals OR entered in as a team (five a side, plus substitutions).

This allows a random spread of talent to the mix, as well as teams to play who know each other and will make for some interesting fixtures!

Summary

• The event will run from 11am and end no later than 4pm
• Competitors must be over 18
• Entry is open to males and females
• The cost/donation for each player is £10 and must be payable prior to kick off
• There will be trophies awarded on the day for the following categories
  • Tournament winners
  • Top goalscorer (statistical goals scored)
  • Player of the Tournament (sportsmanship award)
  • Best Beaver Shot (best goal of the tournament)
• Bibs will be provided on match day so colour selection of your shirt is not important

This year the Beaver Challenge Trophy has partnered with Stapleford Primary School, which is a voluntary aided school for children aged 3-11 years.
